Making her debut with the Luxembourgian-German drama film, House of Boys (2009), Vicky Krieps is a Luxembourger actress who has starred in Luxembourg, French, English, American and German productions. She received her first acting lessons at the Lycee de Garcons secondary school in Luxembourg and from there she went to the Zurich University of Arts, Switzerland. Over the years Krieps has starred in movies like If Not Us, Who? (2011), Hanna (2011), Anonymous (2011), Two Lives (2012), Before the Winter Chill (2013), A Most Wanted Man (2014), The Colony (2015), The Young Karl Marx (2017) and Gutland (2017).
In 2018 Krieps starred alongside Daniel Day-Lewis, Lesley Manville, Camilla Rutherford and Brian Gleeson in Paul Thomas Anderson's Phantom Thread. The movie has earned six nominations at the 90th Academy Awards. Krieps was nominated in the Best Actress category at the Boston Society of Film Critics Awards and the Chicago Film Critics Association Awards, for the movie. She is in a relationship with German actor Jonas Laux. They have a daughter together, Elisa.
