Known for his work in the Tamil film industry, Vincent Selva is an Indian director and screenwriter, who gained recognition after his debut film Priyamudan itself. A major hit at the box office, Priyamudan was remade in Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi. His next, the 1999 release Iraniyan, featuring Murali and Meena, however, opened to mixed reviews.
He then went on to make Tamil remakes of movies such as Chiru Navvuto, Gayab, and Nuvvu Nenu titled Youth, Jithan, and Madurai Veeran respectively. While Youth and Jithan were commercial successes, Madurai Veeran failed to wow the audience and opened to mainly negative reviews. Among his other movie credits are movies like Perumal, Thulli Vilayadu, Inga Enna Solludhu, Jithan 2, Pizza 3 and Goli Soda 2.
