W Jayasiri is a Sri Lankan actor, screenwriter and lyricist. He made his feature film debut with the 1973 movie Dahakin Ekak, and has since appeared in supporting role in several Sri Lankan films. Some of his most memorable roles have come in films like Duwata Mawaka Misa (1997), Me Mage Sandai (2000), Tani Tatuwen Piyabanna (2002) and Death on a Noble Day (2014). For his performance in Duwata Mawaka Misa, Jayasiri won the Presidential Film Award for Best Supporting Actor in 1997. Other significant film credits include Eya Dan Loku Lamayek (1977), Chitti (1995), Sankranthi (2007) and Gamani (2011)
