A certified chemical engineer and MBA, Y.G. Mahendran is a Tamil theater and movie actor who has been a part of the entertainment industry for over four decades. While in his teens he toured with his father's theater group, United Amateur Artists, which sparked his interested in acting. During his four-decade-long career, the actor was seen in movies such as Hey Ram, Irandam Ulagam, Thalaivaa, and Bairavaa. His other releases includes Goko Mako, Gajendrudu and Indha Nilai Maarum.
